potool

Potool is a utility for manipulating GNU gettext's po files. It contains:

• potool — the main program, which lets you filter, transform and merge .po files
• poedit — which makes editing .po files with "Your Favourite Editor"™ easier
• postats — for calculating translation progress statistics
• change-po-charset — change the charset value in content-type header of a gettext po file

Potool was written by Zbigniew Chyla in 1999 in C using bison and flex. It is currently maintained by Marcin Owsiany.
